Okay I already posted this in louisville so I'm sure most of you have seen this, but I'm posting it again:

Hey folks, this is very last minute, but I wanted to spread the word about an awesome opportunity for artists:

Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft has an Artist-in-Residence program where an artist is given studio space within the museum. The artist gets a stipend and must work at least 20 hours a week in the studio.

More info is here: http://www.kentuckyarts.org/modules/downloads_v1/KMAC%20AIR%20spring%2009.pdf

The deadline for applications for the Spring residency has been extended to December 31st.

Like I said, I know this is kind of last minute, but it is an awesome opportunity, so if you are interested, respond soon! and if you know anyone else you think would be interested, spread the word!

[Catchy Title]
Hello everyone! I have been directed to this community by the lovely and talented jumitheklutz. I am 24yrs old (10/25/1984), go to UofL for art and will hopefully gain that degree next Fall, with luck. I mostly do a lot of doodles that I don't deem good enough to post but when I do flesh something out I post it on my Deviantart account. I love humor and I'm trying to look at the lighter side of things which often leads me to combine the macabre with the kitsch. Hmm, I really don't have much else to say here.... Any oter information that I could post can be found on my info page (I think.. the new lay out is kind of screwy).

I'm usually on AIM and am always open to talk :3

Well I suppose I should go ahead and introduce myself, now that a few people have joined (If you have any artist friends, don't forget to tell them to join!)

Hello, my name is Julie. I am a member of Pyro Gallery (www.pyrogallery.com)and I have some stuff up in a show there right now--come check it out at the First Friday Trolley Hop next friday! I also had a booth at the Good Folk Fest last weekend, which was a lot of fun.

I'm primarily a printmaker, although I have started doing a lot more with collage/mixed media, mostly because I don't have my own press so I am a bit limited in how much printing I can do these days. You can see some of my stuff here: www.photobucket.com/julieyoderart

Enjoy! Thanks!

p.s. don't forget to tell your friends to join! The more the merrier!

Hello Fellow Louisville Artist :)
Guess I will make the first introduction post ^_^.

My names Amy and I am 24. Been doing art from the time I could pick up a pencil lol.

I don't do the "norm" with art. I make Custom My Little Ponies. Seriously don't pre judge on what they are. I do some awesome mods with them.
And yes I was the person whom made the custom Master Chief My Little Pony that made its rounds around a lot of gaming sites earlier this year.

I travel to a lot of Conventions and sell my customs and art at Artist Ally tables. I also sell some on ebay.

Current Mood: creative
